Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SectorBrief, including the SectorBrief website, portal, and email briefings (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What SectorBrief is

SectorBrief prepares personalized sector-intelligence briefings. Based on the coverage preferences you set (such as your sector, focus, geography, watchlist, and cadence), the Service gathers publicly available news, press releases, and regulatory filings, applies automated selection and summarization, and delivers a written brief to your email address on your chosen schedule.

2. Not investment advice

The Service provides general information only. Nothing in any brief, summary, score, ranking, or other output constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or other instrument, or legal, tax, or accounting advice. Briefs are prepared automatically from third-party sources, may contain errors, omissions, or delays, and must not be relied on as the basis for any investment or business decision. You are solely responsible for your decisions. SectorBrief is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution.

3. Accounts

You sign in with your email address. You are responsible for maintaining control of that email account and for all activity under your SectorBrief account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old. We may decline, suspend, or close accounts at our discretion, including where these Terms are violated.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis at the pricing shown on our website. Where offered, the first month is free and no payment method is required to start a trial. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and your access continues through the period already paid. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) resell, redistribute, or systematically republish briefs or the data in them outside your organization without our written permission; (b) use the Service to develop a competing product; (c) probe, disrupt, or circumvent security or usage limits (including preview limits); (d) use the Service in violation of applicable law. Briefs are licensed for your internal, personal, or internal-business use.

6. Third-party content and sources

Briefs summarize and link to content owned by third parties, including news publishers, wire services, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That content belongs to its owners. Links may lead to paywalled or subscription sites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or content. Market data shown in briefs is provided by third-party data providers, may be delayed, is provided for informational display only, and may not be redistributed.

7. Automated content

Briefs are generated using automated systems, including artificial-intelligence models. We design the Service to summarize only from fetched source material and to link sources, but automated summaries can be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify material facts against the linked source before acting on them.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by SectorBrief and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

9. Availability and changes

We aim for reliable delivery but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that every relevant story will be captured. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECTORBRIEF WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR TRADING OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 2, 6, 8, 10, 11, and 13) survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in the portal, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
